Robots Will Want Babies Too

Robots Having Robot Babies

Let’s face it. Science fiction has done a pretty interstellar job of predicting the future. Computers, smartphones, lasers, 3D printing, space travel, velcro, all fortune-told by sci-fi long long ago in a galaxy, well… right here.

Classic '50s Sci-fi Floating RoboctopusOf course we’ll impose our stereotypes and body-image issues onto robots, so they’re not likely to look like a floating roboctopus.

Countless movies and books have depicted a world with robots built to serve mankind, which then become artificially intelligent, a race of sentient beings that live among us.

It may not be a question of IF there will be a robot uprising, but WHEN.

We all already know how it’d unfold. People create machines to make our lives simpler. The machines, through an expensive evolution of versions and store lines around the block, then become living beings made in our likeness.

And, with self-awareness and life, it’s totally logical to assume what will follow. Sexual awareness and the urge to create new life.

Robot babies.

They’ll probably be called something shorter and catchier like robabies or robies, but whatever the whirring little droids are called, scientists and engineers are preparing now for today’s fictions becoming the science of tomorrow!

You too can get in at the ground floor and begin training today for an exciting career as a robo-doula or get a degree as a RO/CYB (doctor of robostetrics and cybecology).

Today is pregnant with the future, and you can help deliver it into the world when it goes into robotic labor!
