Parents Go Crazy in their Car

Posted under EXTERNAL USE ONLY

Listen, I’ve been known to lip-synch the hell out of some songs while driving from time to time. Any stranger who’s pulled up alongside me at a stoplight will tell you that. But this? This is a whole new level.

Now, if we disregard the name of the video, the lack of seatbelt on the passenger, the lack of interest from the child in back, and everything else you super sharp internet detectives can pick up, I just want to know:

How embarrassing are these parents?

See, I think these parents are pretty rad. And I’m waiting to debut my version of “Love is an Open Door” one day, too.

I actually *think* the passenger is wearing their seatbelt. It’s buckled in. I think she just isn’t wearing the shoulder part.

    • You beat me to it.

    • Curtis G says:

Yeah, I’m sure she didn’t want any un-Disney accentuation from the shoulder belt.

    • Janet says:

She is my cousin and I know for a fact she was wearing her seat belt. I wear mine the same way under my arm because the chest strap strangles me. I love this video they are both great loving parents ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Sarah says:

Assuming they have listened to the soundtrack repeatedly for the sake of the child in the back seat, my guess is that the child didn’t know the parents were filming and it wouldn’t necessarily be jarring for the parents to gesticulate if they were just lip synching to the music.

Oh, and this is still dangerous but it does appear that the woman has the shoulder belt tucked behind her back, so she is presumably wearing the lap belt.

  • lucy says:

Maybe when their daughter is older, it might be embarrassing to her. But great lip synching!

  • Summer says:

Keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel please!

    • Amelia says:

This. They’re DRIVING with at least one child in the car and other cars on the road. They’re essentially putting everyone in danger. And I’d be shocked if this was the first “take”. ๐Ÿ™ couldn’t they have done this somewhere safer? Like in the driveway or inside the house?

  • Anthony Stil says:

Proof that some should not be allowed to breed.

    • Kimeley Megan says:

You have NEVER taken your hands off of 10 and 2 once the vehicle was in gear? NEVER?!

  • Stephanie says:

My son (age 8): “Mom, your car dancing is embarrassing”
Me: “Um, I think you mean ‘awesome'”

  • Joyce Mohlhenrich Tschetter says:

I think they are awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • It’s not been lip-syncing for my wife & I. We full-on belt out all of the Frozen songs. My daughter loves it, my son though will sometimes erupt from his car seat, “STOP SINGING DAT!!!”

  • ryan2499 says:

They rock. The classic Disney wide eyed look at the end is outstanding.

  • Cindy says:

Awesome Lip Syncing! Please don’t think I’m trying to be mean because I am not. I am sure it just looked more dangerous to us than it was. I was in an accident once just because I looked up at a green light for a split second while the driver in front of me slammed on her brakes. Be safe and wear that shoulder harness because I care.

  • Crystal says:

Did anyone else want to grab the driving wheel when the driver lifted his hands? I kept wanting to say “keep your eyes on the road”. In my opinion the most embarrassing/traumatic part for children is the unsafe driving methods displayed.

  • David says:

I assume she’s not wearing a seatbelt but has plugged it in to stop the alarm.
    Good video however

  • Mimi says:

I wish my hubby was into Disney songs! This is fabulous!

  • Franziska says:

    LOVE THEM!!!
I use to belt out a George of the Jungle (our favorite all time movie) yell with my girls at the top of our lungs while driving down the road. It got some great giggles and odd looks but they still do a random shout out to relieve tension.
Be silly in front of and with your kids because if you can’t laugh at yourself it can hurt when others do.

  • Romy says:

Embarassing? I think they are hilarious.

  • Brett says:

Dad closes his eyes and takes his hands off the wheel to belt out “dooooor”, not to mention continually staring intothe passenger’s eyes. Otherwise, they’re kinda rad. Are they real parents, or actors (because they sure do have the expressions down)?

    • JD says:

She is my cousin, so I can say they are definitely real parents.

  • Dayna says:

My son calls this song the “Crazy” song.

  • WHAT THE HELL is everyone’s obsession with that movie right now? Granted I haven’t seen it, but even if it’s flawlessly awesome, why can the internet not produce ANYTHING else? >_<

  • Lui says:

I dont know to others but I think this super cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Ash says:

Being a little to critical people! They absolutely love that child and wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. They are awesome parents and that was awesome!

  • Krystal says:

All you haters!!! Can you tell me as a parent while driving down the road haven’t taken your eyes off the road to get on to your kids in the backseat? Or even to talk to your wife in the passenger seat?!? I know I have!!! And as for the taking you hands off the wheel…come on you know you’ve tested the hands free drive with your knees at least once!!! These parents are sweet and fun! Yea the kid is uninterested but could be A: she didn’t know what was going on or B: she’s use to the making fun of the song. Either way they were having fun and I know I’ve thought of doing this a time or 2 with how many times my 3 year old makes me watch/listen to stuff!! Moral of the story…check your own driving ediquit before you start slamming someone else’s!!

    • Brett says:

What an absurd comment. Not only do you have no idea how anyone else drives, you fail to realize no one else here opened themselves up to criticism by uploading a video (in which a few times, for about a second each, weren’t watching the road) of themselves driving. No one is hating on the couple… Way to start drama when there should have been none.

  • kat says:

Theatre majors. Theatre majors do this constantly. Hence why the child is not fazed.

  • Tylar says:

I dont see why ya’ll are so negative. Im sure “none” of ya’ll whatsoever have taken your hands of a wheel to grab something, change a radio station, or just simply got uncomfortable. I absolutely loved them. They arr great parents i have the dad on facebook and when i first saw this all i could think about was the fact omg they have made viral what every parent does, and that is embarass their kids. I have a 1 year old and already try to embarass her. They are not bad parents at all. And further more peopl like you making comments “proof some people should not breed” what about you? Making horrible comments about someone ober the internet. Let me guess you are gonna teach your children how to cyberbully? They did this merely out of fun. And with the attention he was paying towards the road, did anyone ever suggest that maybe they werent even moving. Maybe parked somewhere. There are many of vidoes all over youtube with people in their cars. Grow up people seriously! Its people like you who give us younger generation parents a bad name, because maybe its not us but who raised us. I think these two are amazing and fun parents and you could learn a thing or two from their book.

  • Tylar says:

Ok and to my previous comment, yes i do see they are moving but how fast? For all you know they could be on a private road or dirt road. My mistake i apologize. But you arent in that car you dont know the speed or location.

  • Travis says:

Umm…obviously this was not their first tank. I would like to know how many takes it took to get it this perfect….I am guessing three tanks of gas and at least one fender bender.

I do like the video, but I think the mother needs to give her daughter back her head band:)

  • Morgan says:

Cutest thing ever! All the people who say this is unsafe driving should think of the amount of times they have texted, eaten, put on makeup, looked for something, driven with your knee, were speeding (you get the point) while driving! They are having FUN! Which most people need to learn how to do, Just because he takes his hands off for a second doesn’t mean anything. Also, I consider and sometimes do, go without wearing a seatbelt from time to time, any lady with breasts knows that seat belts hit at an awkward place and she probably put the shoulder strap behind her to keep that part out of the video!

I think they did an awesome job and deserve an award!

  • Kai says:

OMG! Cool wicked idea…. and mom is super hot! but the song….. Eh *Hand shimmy*

  • Jeff says:

I was actually expecting this to be a video of you.

  • Kenny says:

The latest one with the twins is the best.
