Dads-What-People-Think

This kind of “what people think” internet joke showcases the misconceptions about a type of person or job from the various clichéd perspectives of others. I was pleasantly surprised at how hard this was to put together for Dads.

Not everyone’s MIL thinks their grandchildren are being neglectfully left to some laptop Skynet nanny setup, and not every dad loves Batman. I just happen to. The point is, everyone’s different. These days, families are made up in so many different ways and parenting is approached in such varied ways, we’re way past the traditional white-picket-fence concept of yestercentury. Fatherhood in general has changed a lot, and with the change, the age-old stereotypes about dumb or absentee dads are breaking down.

Ironically, we’re not here to tell you “how to be a dad” despite the name of our website. There are so many ways to be a good dad. So just do that. Whatever that is. We’re still trying to figure it out.
