Inside Out With Only The Out

Posted under VIDEOTAPE

I haven’t seen Inside Out yet. I know, what kind of a Pixar fanboy am I if I can’t even get my butt to a screen or a theater or a phone to watch a Disney Pixar film about something that I am intimately involved with: total lack of control over my emotional state. Kidding. A feels-ridden exploration of childhood and parenting. Sounds like I’ll die of dehydration.

Well, after watching this amazingly simple video where all of the internal workings of a little girl’s mind have been edited out, I now want to see the movie more than ever. Check this out! Kinda brilliant.

Inside Out: Outside Edition from Jordan Hanzon on Vimeo.

Looking from the outside in is how most of us live our lives. This video shows us the story inside us and how much we don’t know about the internal workings of a person. So cool.

I’ve seen the movie a couple months back, but it was eye-opening as it brought back the Intro to Psychology college class that I enjoyed at the time. Seeing this version that is simplified and easy to grasps has me thinking about my own experience lately and the impression of people (good and bad) that I have. Out of all the emotions, the movie points toward Joy and Sadness being the overall solutions to problems. Reflecting on this, I can’t help but shake my head in agreement.
