She knows that I have an extreme allergy to her workout “music.” My 5yo son will come up to me with a big devilish grin and tell me that mama is about to put on my FAVORITE MUSIC, and then belly laugh when I howl in despair. Basically everyone in the house knows I get calluses on my knees from praying for deafness when it’s calorie-burning time for the Mrs.

The things couples put up with are sometimes the most compelling proofs of love.
