My Wife Just Said… #78

“So, that means when you were playing with Ninja Turtles, I was losing my virginity!” -Avara

This is something that has come up a few times in our relationship, but since it was discussed in the Chicago Tribune, it probably bears repeating. ;)

Couple of kids and an old guy.

    You have a beautiful family!

Seeing how I was playing with Ninja Turtles from childhood through adolescence and now young adulthood (33yrs old), that analogy would not work for me. I have a feeling Charlie’s in the same boat. lol

I must pout- the Tribune wouldn’t let me read the article with out signing into something, and something about my next born child… I has a sad.

    Stupid Tribune :(

Well, that doesn’t really say much about an age gap. In my middle school, many boys were playing with Ninja Turtles while some girls were losing their virginity. :-)

Love that article. You two make me sick in that totally over-the-moon sort of way one would vomit at your cute love. :)

It’s a shame the Chicago Tribune’s site basically does this:

Ok, warning: longest comment ever. I just have to say two things: I love this. And, thank you! And, perfect timing. So that was three things. But here’s why: for the last two years it seems like it’s been 99.999999908962% younger men pursuing me which, needless to say, brought up some issues for me – and absolutely 0 for the guys. The beautiful thing: they were issues I needed to look at, and realize was rooted in a double standard that was somehow picked up along the way and went unrecognized as a great big illusion. I mean, I have my “limits” within reason but seeing your family together really just gives me…confidence and a sense of comfort and freedom. :) After writing this comment, I’d really like to give a shout out by saying *thank you* to all the guys who went for what they wanted. It really gave me the opportunity to be me and free from missing out on life and growth. ps: the biggest age gap I’ve experienced is 6 years. pps:would love to hear Avara’s initial response to the age gap. I am interested! Thanks guys. :)

  9. This post makes the relaunching of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles totally different now. Thanks.
