The Muppet X-Men

It’s like he stepped inside my mind and drew my fantasies.

Mr. Ken Haeser, a writer and artist out of New Jersey, has a talent for BEING AWESOME. He has created, what I consider, to be a magnum opus of crossovers. My eyes have melted from the sight of it. Does this prove to you that we are fact the best dad blog or what?

MUPPETS + X-MEN = DREAM ATTAINED

Even Super-Finn would love these. Let’s have a look…

I had the pleasure of speaking to Ken, via electrical mail last night in…

First
Interview!

CHARLIE: Señor Haeser, how did you come to realize that muppets and x-men were quite possibly the raddest combination besides ice cream and ginger ale?

KEN: It actually came up while thinking of ideas for sketch covers for www.dynamicforces.com. I did a few samples for them (Cykermit and Wolveranimal) but they said they weren’t allowed to use Muppets— only Marvel characters for the sketch covers. But I had so much fun with them I just kept knocking them out.
I’ve got a bunch more planned out that hopefully I can get to soon!

Ken Haeser makes happy birthday card

CHARLIE: How many kids do you have and have you ever cartoon-ized or otherwise drawn them?
KEN: I’ve got 2 boys. A ten year old and a 9 month old. They are really fun to draw and my ten year old is becoming quite the artist himself. I even drew my youngest before he was born for a birthday card for my dad.

CHARLIE: Where do you see yourself in five years, if you were a panda?
KEN: Probably dead. Or eating bamboo. Maybe doing some Kung Fu.

CHARLIE: Muppets or Fraggles?
KEN: Muppets! Fraggles always kinda freaked me out and the theme song gets stuck in your head way too easy. See? You’ve probably got it stuck in your head now. Sorry.

CHARLIE: If I gave you an elephant where would you hide it?
KEN: Wherever it wanted to be hidden.

CHARLIE: What are you going to do now that you’re hurtling toward fame?
KEN: Waiting by my solid gold pool for my masseuse to arrive, trying to hold back the paparazzi and checking my stock portfolio. When I’m not drawing that is!
