My Kid Just Said… #5

Posted under "MY KID JUST SAID..."

[Seeing his mother dying her hair] “Mommy… does you have poop on you head?”
-Lucas
(2012, 2 years old)

Poop head hair dyeUhhhhhhh…

To a kid: if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck. So if it looks like poop…

Yeah, Lizzie was wearing a plastic cap filled with brown henna paste on her head. Lucas was wearing a “have you lost every square inch of your mind” kind of expression on his face.

I henna my hair and my kidlet asked me if it was poop! LMAO!!!

  • Shannyn says:

I’ve used henna in my hair, and it sure does look like poop (the henna paste, not my hair). unfortunately, it also made my hair smell like horse poop every time I washed it for awhile. Have fun with that!

    • Andy says:

YES!!! Very “natural” smelling. Unfortunately poo could also be described as “natural” smelling. Especially horse poo. Ha ha!

  • Lana says:

I’ve used henna. It sometimes smells a little like poop, too. πŸ˜‰

    • Andy says:

I KNOW!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! “Herbal” is how I describe it to my wife so she doesn’t get self-conscious.

  • Sanstrousers says:

That face he’s making it priceless!

    • Andy says:

LOL! We were in stitches laughing. This pic summed up the expression perfectly.

  • Sanstrousers says:

    “is” priceless, even!

    That kid cracks me up!

  • Simon says:

If you don’t know it already, be prepared to have “poop” be the word of choice for at least the next 2 years.

    That is too cute!

    Perfection in a sentence!

Love it! Love your son’s name, too. ;~)

LOL! I henna and it’s true–it does look pretty poopy. Your wife is a brave soul; my twins are due in 4 weeks and I don’t plan to henna again for years because it takes so darn long! God bless her. (And for the “natural” henna fragrance, several drops of lavender essential oil mixed into the henna paste does wonders to keep your hair from smelling like hay for the next several washes!)

    • Andy says:

The brand she used doesn’t take that much effort actually, she’s found a winner. That’s a good suggestion on the lavender, though. I’ll let her know.

Long time reader, first time caller – Love your show!
Just for the fact that your wife and your readers
    a) know what henna is and
    b) use it
just raised my love for you to new heights!

and yes, henna looks and smells “natural”. πŸ™‚ Lavender and Tea Tree are awesome scents to add.
