Muhver Day: My Kid Just Said… #4

Posted under "MY KID JUST SAID..."

“Say Happy Muhver Day!”
-Lucas
(2012, almost 3 years old)

Being literal is not the same as being literate, but it’s funny.

Facepalm. He repeated exactly what I just whispered to him. His smile was sooooo big tho! So was hers. Precious.

Even though he chewed it up a bit, I was proud he got out the word “Mother’s” because he calls her Mommy. And his inclusion of my instruction to “Say” was quite simply hilarious and reminded me of all the amazing verbatim FAILs I’ve seen on the interwebs.

Happy day after Mother’s Day, folks!

Lol I know the feeling. Though he’s really good with sentiments like the above, his repeating after me the rule he broke after a time out can get a little fuzzy…

My husband spent two days cutting off my 3-year-old who kept trying to tell me what she was giving me for Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚

    • Andy says:

Ha ha ha! YES!!! We put a ban on telling the boys about any surprises or gifts. The secret is just too irresistible to contain. I’ve done the loud interruptions, the coughs, the sudden singing, all to cut off a gift-giving security leak.

  • Laurie says:

Not sure how much more cuteness I can handle from that kid..He is too much!

    • Andy says:

πŸ™‚ We have to take special vitamins to build up our tolerance to the cuteness.

  • “I can’t tell you what we got you, but I’ll give you a hint: it goes on your wrist, and it tells time!” – my sister when she was… sixish (before I was born) on Father’s Day πŸ™‚

    • Andy says:

Ha ha! Yeah, kids are like sieves. Can’t keep a secret for a damn. πŸ˜‰

I was awoken by my 2 year old daughter on Mother’s Day telling me “Happy Birthday!” repeatedly. That’s what it sounded like anyway. She was so proud. =)

  • My 1 1/2 year old son has been told to say “bye-bye” so often he has started leaving the room with, “Say bye-bye!” and waving.

    • Andy says:

LOL! I love it! So cute. Video it and 30 years from now you’ll search the Internet for me just to thank me for telling you to do so, if you haven’t already. πŸ˜‰

  • Corinna says:

Awww I love it. My tot just turned 2 in May and she’s finally talking! I knew I should’ve been careful about wanting it to happen because I’m afraid what’s going to come out next, but it’s always followed by a beaming smile of shock and pride.

    • Andy says:

I know EXACTLY what you mean! ESPECIALLY in public, because I can hear pretty much anything without a wince, but other people? I get conscientious for their feelings. Your stomach drops faster than a bullet flies out of a gun when you hear your toddler shout, “Wook at da giant wady in da motor chair!” Ugh.

I tried to get my 2 year old son to say Happy Father’s day to my husband. He said “Pee Fart Day”. Eh, close enough. πŸ™‚

  • The recent comment popped into my inbox just the day after my toddler bedded me for just one more block of chocolate…..or as he says…

“More cock? Mommy? Cock? Mommy? Cock please??”

    I only giggle a little.

    • Begged me, not bedded me. WAY less oedipal.

      • Andy says:

THAT is the BEST typo I’ve seen in a loooooong time. And I drop typos like a tree drops leaves in Fall. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

    • Andy says:

PRICELESS! Ha ha! Yesterday my 3yo was smushing my with his bedspread that he was pretending was junk. Don’t know why? I was too busy s##ting myself with laughter as he leapt at me shouting excitedly “Da junk is coming on you! Da junk is coming on you!” LMAO!

  • Lea says:

Someone had farted. My 21 month old daughter responds with “Ewwwwww!” My 4.5 year old son laughs and tells his sister, “Say Ewwwwww again!”. So she blurts out, “ewwwwww again!”
