(News from Don Rob.)

I’ve heard some moms-to-be say they wish their pregnancy would “last forever,” they love it so much. Which is a touching, yet alarming statement, especially if you happen to the be the father. Eh-hem. Some women are in the NSM camp. Not so much. They’d pay in limbs to fast-forward through their rough pregnancy.

Whatever anyone’s preference is for the passage of pregnancy time, it seems like most “ready to pop” moms””sarcastic side note: they all love that expression by the way””they seem to just want to floor it and get to the finish line. At least through the parts where getting up from a couch inspires thoughts of clever pulley/winch systems. Or when the prospect of handling a rock in the shoe brings on tears.

But afterwards… it all seems to have rushed by soooooo fast. This super funny, crazy rad video brings it all home beautifully.

Soak in every moment and savor every speeding second!

  • That is THE coolest video I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine my ghetto attempt to try and recreate it.

Let’s just say it would look like a 2 year old who had hooks for hands…

These two are rockstars. It’s so filthy good. Ugh! Wish I’d done some timelapse ANYTHING! But, yeah, definite “2yo with hooks for hands” production value would have occurred. Ha ha!

This video was AMAZING. I’ve been pregnant, I hated it all three times, but I totally wish I was cool enough to think of something like this. Also, we totally love the expression “ready to pop.” Almost as much as when people tell us we must be having twins.

Love, love, love this video! I also loved being pregnant! It all went by soooo fast!!! Crazy rad is really the only way to sum up that video! Thanks for sharing!!! (not!! enough! exclamation!!! points!! to convey my thoughts)

I was 7 months pregnant with our second child. I was SO over being fat and uncomfortable and not in charge of my own body. I waddled over to my husband’s side of the bed and said, “Hey!! Wake up! Shake this OUT OF ME RIGHT NOW!!!”
Karma’s a bitch. The baby was due August 20 and had to be induced on Sept. 2. He’s now 25 and I swear he’d still be there if not for pitocin. Love my kids. Hated being pregnant. But I guess you’ve already guessed that!

    • andy says:

“Shake this OUT OF ME RIGHT NOW!!!” Ha ha ha ha ha! Message received loud and clear. 😉

  • Christina says:

That was a very cool video.

I’m an NSM mom. I’m already convincing myself I want her to wait another 3 weeks…at least…

Oh screw it…January get here NOW!!!

    • andy says:

I know EXACTLY (through my wife) what you mean. She loved it and couldn’t wait for it to be over on a day-to-day basis.

Oh my god, I would… 6 months along, morning sickness that never stopped and living with two elderly relatives that keep giving me their colds.. March come fast PLEASE.

I so wish I’d done something like this! 37 weeks on monday makes me a little late though! That’s such a great video, i’m so jealous!

    • andy says:

We’re pretty jealous too. It’s such a good idea, but the balloon just makes it brain-achingly genius!

  • heidi says:

    Awesome!

That was super funny and Awesome! I was miserable during my pregnancy. You name it. I was sick for 6 months all the time. The ppl at my work were tired of hearing me puke. I had the sciatic nerve pain which hurts so bad I wanted to cry. I couldn’t eat much and lost lots of weight in the begining. I worked up until the day before they induced me and then I was in labor for 17 hours. I was so hungry and thirsty by the time it was all done. I keep telling myself that I will have another child in a few years and by then I am hoping for a better pregnancy, but this is such a cool video. I loved feeling my son move and kick but the idea of getting it over that quick would be nice too. =)

    • andy says:

Ha ha! It’s so different for different moms and from baby to baby even it seems. Glad you liked the video. They did such a stellar job.

  • HisDivineEmpress says:

I Love this!!!! <3 Wish I would have done something like this, will def be doing this my next pregnancy. 🙂 u guys are great and congrats.

  • Elizabeth says:

Aww Baby was born 3 days after my youngest! Super super cool video! I HATE pregnancy. Hate it hate it hate it! The two most endlessly miserable experiences of my life. There is not one single solitary thing I liked about the experiences of either of my pregnancies. I had Hyperemesis (morning sickness on steroids) for the first 20 weeks and what is incorrectly but descriptively referred to as separated pelvis getting more painful and difficult to hobble to the bathroom with every passing day for the last 20, then 38 hours of back labour. I love the outcomes, and love the baby stage so very very much, which is why I am willing to do it at least one of not two more times, but pregnancy itself is hell on earth, being trapped in a torture chamber that is your own body. If it was offered I would gladly accept a medically induced coma for the duration if it wouldn’t mean missing out on 9 months of my older kiddos lives. (not like I’m all that present for them anyway in the midst of all that though) Ugg.

    • Andy says:

We have a friend of the family who had morning sickness for 4 months straight. Bed ridden, water and crackers. It was awful. I’ve never seen anyone so sick looking in my life, and I have a friend who died of cancer that I saw the evening before he passed. It can be pretty bad, but I gotta say. Good for f##king you! To have had at it TWICE! Despite how bad the first was. You have my respect.

  • Turtle-Dove says:

I loved and disliked pregnancy, every hour or so I would switch from “I love this its so cool and I’m gonna miss it when its gone” to “oh gods I can’t take the pain/nausea/difficulty/ect. any more! when is this baby coming out maybe I’ll be lucky and it’ll be a few days early!?!”
