    It’s only fair.

Oh man, if only that were possible!

My wife has said the exact same thing to me. I would if I could. but not every month.

I’ll take the period every month.

I want my husband to take the MORNING SICKNESS. Which was named by a man so that he’d be able to say “well, its noon. I skipped breakfast, are you going to make me lunch?” back before women hit them with pans for saying crap like that.

Seriously, though. He has NO idea what it is like to hurl several times a day and feel like you’re going to hurl for the other 23 hours of the day—all without getting to enjoy the awesome drinking bender the night before. And then repeat it EVERY DAY for, oh, about 14 weeks if we’re going off how long I had this when I was pregnant with my son!

I used to be a-okay with puking, but I had food poisoning once and, in the act of my body trying to de-poison itself, I almost choked on the vomit and passed out because I couldn’t breath. Since then, not such a big fan… I think I’d take the period for a 9 months rather than the morning sickness.

After having three boys. Any month where my wife gets her period is a good month. And I would take it for her if it means no more kids.

If only this could happen…just once in a while…

Lizzie once described it as kind of Chinese water torture over the duration of a lifetime. Ugh!

Semi-annual period are not all they’re cracked up to be. I was on Seasonique and it was pure misery for almost a year. The hormones are incredibly strong, even if you’ve been on birth control before. I had hot flashes, upset stomach, leg and back cramps, and generally UGH feelings for the entire duration. I’d much rather have one 12 weeks of UGH in a year than 52.
